Strombus sp. is one type of gastropod species that are generally often met in marine coastal of Riau islands. The purpose of this research is to know the structure of the community and the suitability of Strombus sp. habitat. The research activity was conducted in February 2017 – July 2017 in Mantang Baru island, Bintan Island. The research is observation to the field by using survey method that is direct observation to field of research location. The determination of research sampling point was done by random sampling method as many as 30 randomly scattered points. For take a Strombus sp. sampling use the method of square quadrant transect of the size 1×1 m. the marine of the Mantang Baru island are only found 3 types of Strmbus sp. is Strombus urceus, Strombus canarium and Strombus turturella. The total value of abundance values of all three species is known 6 ind/m2 and the probability of finding Strombus sp. species from the three species often encountered from each observation point is Strombus urceus. Based on the percentage of suitability obtained is 81 %. So, that the waters of the Mantang Baru island are just categorized as suitable for the life of Strombus sp.
