This research examines the governance of tourism in the district of Buru Karimun. The focus of this research look at the role of government community and private sector in tourism development in the District of Buru. Tourism development needs to be done well. Importance of tourism to be well managed because it gives us huge positive among which the increase of foreign exchange, increase local reveneus, as well improvement to the community.
The purpose of this research was to determine the governance of tourism in the district of Buru Karimun. The method used is qualitative research with qualitative approach deskriptif. Informants selected with purposeful sampling technique. The total of informants in this research were 14 people.
Results of this research are the Department of Tourism, Arts and Culture has been sought in the development of attractions District of Buru. Efforts undertaken is to promote the attraction through the local media and internet media, to reform the infrastructure and provision of facilities and infrastructure and to optimize information. On the other hand, the public has also been sought in the development of attractions. Efforts have been made public that take the initiative in the development of attractions District of Buru. The form of the initiative is to promote the maintenance and attraction through the Indonesian labor. While the private sector has not been involved in the development tourism. The problems in the governance of the District Buru tourism is the lack of professional management, poor facilities and infrastructure, and the lack of community empowerment.
Suggestions in this research is divided into several parts, ie to the government, public, and private sectors. One suggestion to the government that the government needs to continue to improve services, promotions, supporting facilities, accessibility, as well as coordination and cooperation with the community and stakeholders. It was also necessary to pay attention in the maintenance of attractions, establish regional information centers, establish and foster awareness groups and make record travel of tourists who come to visit.
Suggestions for a community that is expected to preserve the beauty and attractions, more creative and innovative in creating the products and introduce the Malay arts and culture, as well as participate in all activities of tourism. As for the private sector that needed a companion and is expected to preserve the environment.
