This study was conducted in April 2017-June 2017 in the village of Gisi of Bintan Riau Islands Province. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence the production of litter in Kampung Gisi Bintan regency. Determination of mangrove observation station is using purposive sampling. Then from the three stations that has been set is then determined mangrove zonation which represents the thickest mangrove species. Sampling litter that is by trapping litter (Litter-Trap) measuring 10 x 10 m. Mangrove species found are Rhizophora apiculata, R. Mucronata, Xylocarpus granatum, and Lumnitzera littorea. The highest litter production found inmangrove zonation R. Apiculata with a value of 1145,44 gbk/m2/month. Then the litter production mangrove zonation X. Granatum with a value of 911,08 gbk/m2/month and the lowest litter production in mangrove zonation L. Littorea 439,73 gbk/m2/month. Factors affecting the production of litter in this study is a mangrove tree density, tree diameter, mangrove cover percentage, the number of stands of mangrove trees then wind speed and rainfall. Other factors that lead to high and low production is zoning mangrove litter and types of mangrove (mangrove open) or mangrove directly facing the sea.
